This Work Was Born From My Own Season of Survival

................

For most of my life, I was the strong one. The responsible one. The one who kept going even when I was exhausted, anxious, overwhelmed, or quietly falling apart inside. I became very good at surviving. I carried childhood trauma, generational trauma, anxiety, PTSD, depression, divorce, and single motherhood while raising four children and building a nursing career. On the outside, I looked capable. Inside, I knew what it felt like to be completely disconnected from myself.

I am a Registered Nurse with 25 years of combined experience in the perioperative space, 13 of them as an RN and the rest as a surgical technologist before that. I am a Navy Veteran, a Board-Certified Nurse Coach, and an ISSA-Certified Health and Lifestyle Coach. I am currently completing my Family Nurse Practitioner degree, and I compete as an amateur bodybuilder, a discipline I found in Navy boot camp when I could not do three push-ups and graduated doing 50 in 2 minutes. The weight room has been where I have taken pain and turned it into something physical, visible, and mine, ever since.

There was a season when my body could not keep carrying what I was asking of it. I reduced my full-time OR schedule to part-time as my PTSD and anxiety intensified. That decision was not a retreat. It was a turning point toward healing. Faith, fitness, nervous system regulation, bodybuilding, holistic health, and spiritual connection became the foundation of my rebuilding. Putting God first changed the direction of my life.

Lantern Wellness was not built from theory. It came from my own healing. I believe the physical follows the spiritual, and every program I offer is built on that truth. Your stuck place is rarely just physical or just emotional. I do not begin with a food plan or a workout schedule, because a woman cannot sustainably change her body if she has not yet learned to feel safe in it. We start with awareness. Then reconnection. Then new patterns her nervous system is actually ready to receive. Then integration into who she is becoming.

If you are in a season where you look capable on the outside and feel disconnected within, I want you to know something. You are not broken. You are in the in-between, no longer who you were and not yet fully who you are becoming. That space is not a failure. It is sacred ground. I would be honored to walk beside you through it.

Rooted with you,
Mandy
